[just stands like this, not even noticing it's getting slowly darker until he shifts suddenly]

...Eiji-kun... are you this cold during the night, too? Is it all the time?

It's colder at night, although I can't really feel it. Why do you ask?

Do you--I mean. [pauses, his face still tucked against your shoulder] ...I could stay with you and Ankh, if you wouldn't mind. I've been this warm all the time lately, and... it might help.

Oh...[Blushes a little, but it's a good idea. they can all keep an eye on each other...]

I'm okay with that. Another warm body would be nice.

I'll ask him. [his voice soft, just under your ear] I need to talk to him about this regardless.

[just presses his cheek to your skin, feeling you leech the warmth from him]

I hate this part. [his voice low and rough, his body feeling even hotter against yours in the cool night air]

[nodding against you, his own body feeling colder.]

I do too, but it's kind of nice like this.

No. [exhales, his breath steaming] It just... I can't feel it. But it makes me restless. [his voice dropping] I don't like it.

The power [he corrects. The power that's starting to fight between them was nice. It makes him feel less useless, even if also a lot more harmful.]

I don't like it or these thoughts. [and now he has to debate letting go or staying here]

[he shakes his head for a second before he hits on it, his breath sighing out of his lungs]

Just desire. Things you want or want to do. Things you can't and the simulated sorrow behind not getting it.

[looks up at you, his eyes weirdly intense]

[looks back at you, not judging or looking down on it. Just simple, sadden, inquiry]

Are you sure it's real?

Are you really feeling it, or just convincing yourself you do?
